I think one of the small, everyday things I took for granted in life pre-covid was sitting in a coffee shop, catching up with a close friend or tucking myself into a corner to read, work, or people watch.

Each coffee shop is an entry into another world. Each one has a unique perspective on what makes — good coffee —, each one has different playlists, different barista personalities, different values.

Enjoy some commercial photography I did for Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters and Sweetleaf Cocktails, one of my all-time favorite coffee shops and quite literally what got me through grad school. (If you haven’t tried their Rocket Fuel, buy some online and thank me later.)

The beans are locally roasted and ethically sourced. Sweetleaf locations are based in Queens and Brooklyn and sell their coffee beans to many coffee shops throughout New York.
