Introduction
Around a year ago, I was getting my usual haircut by Allison and she leaned down and said, “Can I tell you a secret?”
(If anyone ever asks me this, um, yes, please tell me.)
She told me she was planning on opening up her own salon space, but that she had to keep it a secret while she made concrete plans.
I couldn’t be more happy for her. Over the years, I remember seeing her being booked with back-to-back appointments and not really having time to breathe between sessions. By starting her own business, she would be able to branch out for more freedom: setting her own schedule, setting her own prices, using her own hair techniques and products.
So when Allison reached out for me to take her branding photos, I was beyond excited to fulfill this role and help her business, Allison Hair, grow.
Our Process
In my brand photography questionnaire, I asked her what she wanted to elicit when people view her photos.
She wrote, “I’d like for my first impression to catch people’s attention and make them curious or intrigued. I want my vibe to be really sexy, confident and fun, but not intimidating – more warm and welcoming. I want to have an artsy yet luxurious feel about my vibe.”
I think we hit the mark!
